Council Meetings

Ystradgynlais Town Council Meetings are open to the public and we welcome residents and press attending to see the council at work. Our regular monthly meetings are typically held at 18:30 on the first Thursday of the month in the Ystradgynlais Miners Welfare Hall. However please check the agenda published in advance of each meeting to confirm the date, time and location as each year we will try and hold some of the meetings in Cwmtwrch and Abercrave and on occasion it may be necessary to amend the date or start time.

Please note – There is no meeting held in August.

At each regular meeting there is an opportunity for people or local groups to make a presentation or request to the Council. Two fifteen-minute slots are available immediately prior to the meeting. These need to booked in advance with the Clerk.

There are from time to time sensitive or confidential matters that may require the Clerk to close the meeting, or part of the meeting, to the public. This will normally be highlighted in advance on the agenda.

Regular and Extraordinary meetings of the Council will be publicised with the details and agenda published here and on the Council notice board at the Ystradgynlais Miners Welfare Hall.

Following each ordinary meeting a draft summary of key points and discussions will be produced and published here. These are for information and are only indicatative as they are a draft format. The full meeting minutes ratifying decisions will be submitted at the following meeting for approval and published here when approved.
